This is a story about Ali.

هذه قصة عن علي.

Ali is a boy in the fifth grade.

علي هو طفل في الصف الخامس.

He loves math very much.

يحب الرياضيات كثيرا.

He likes solving problems, equations, and geometric shapes.

يحب حل المسائل والمعادلات والأشكال الهندسية.

One day, Ali was studying math at his home.

في يوم من الأيام ، كان علي يدرس الرياضيات في منزله.

He was solving some exercises in his book.

كان يحل بعض التمارين في كتابه.

He found a difficult exercise.

وجد تمرينا صعبا.

There was a note on the exercise:

“This exercise is for advanced students only”.

Ali felt challenged.

علي شعر بالتحدي.

He said:

“I can solve this exercise.

“أنا أستطيع حل هذا التمرين.

There is nothing hard for me!”

The exercise was a word problem.
